MINERAL INSULATED METAL SHEATHED (MgO) THERMOCOUPLE

MgO thermocouple assemblies are metal-sheathed, magnesium oxide insulated temperature sensing elements. Compact, moisture proof and pressure resistant, MgO thermocouples are ideal for control or load thermocouples or for furnace surveys and system accuracy tests.

They are offered with single or dual elements and are ideal when accuracy and fast response is required. Installation is simple, as the sheath is flexible. Available in types E, J, K, N and T, standard diameters include .063”, .125”, .188”, .250” and .375”. Special diameters and larger sizes are available upon request.

Insulated Thermocouple Wire

offers a host of insulated wire options. Our product offering includes many standard insulations, including fiberglass, high-temperature fiberglass, refrasil, ceramic fiber, rubber, nylon, PVC, teflon, kapton and synthetic fiber. In addition, most insulated wire can be covered with inconel or stainless steel overbraid for additional abrasion resistance

Insulated thermocouple wire can be fabricated into accurate and dependable thermocouples for uniformity surveys by joining the positive and negative legs together at the measuring junction. We provide customers with a “Fast-Fix” alternative to creating a welded junction (a physical connector), eliminating the time and equipment requirements of welded junctions.

We offer a wide variety of hardware and accessories, such as heads and blocks, plugs and jacks, tube adapters and compression fittings. Our hardware is offered for efficiency, convenience and added value.
